Matt Mason is the founding and lead pastor of The Gathering. He's been in ministry for the past ten years, pioneering worship and young adult ministries at Radiant Life Church in Dublin, Ohio. After opening their home for young adults to worship, encounter God, and build genuine community, Matt and Shana began to have a heart to see all people belong, believe and become.

In 2021, The Gathering was planted in Marysville, OH with a vision to see the city transformed by the message of Jesus delivered through a healthy, united church. Our home team is remarkably strong.

Both Matt and Shana grew up in ministers' homes, feel mutually called to this adventure, and are excited about this new season. Matt is a graduate of The Ohio State University’s Fishers School of Business, as well as a gifted communicator, relational pastor, and strategic leader. He is liscensed as an Assembly of God minister through the Ohio School of Ministry. 

We are incredibly passionate about discovering the unique call of God on every person’s life and releasing them into Kingdom-building roles they are truly passionate about. We see this as a primary pastoral responsibility --- to equip the saints for the work of the ministry. (Eph. 4:12)
