What We Believe.

We believe that the whole Bible, both the Old and New Testament, is the Word of God. It is accurate, authoritative, applicable to our daily lives, and inspired by God as His revelation to man. (2 Tim 3:15-17; 1 Thess 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21)

We believe in one true God, eternally self-existent, the Creator of heaven and earth, and the Redeemer of mankind. He exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit --- completely loving, relational, and holy. (Deut 6:4; Isaiah 43:10,11; Matt 28:19; Luke 3:22)

We believe that man was created good and upright; for God said, "Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness." However, man by voluntary sin fell and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God. (Gen 1:26,27; Gen 2:17; Gen 3:6; Rom 5:12-19)

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, as both God and man, is the only path to reconciliation with God. The Scriptures declare His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His death on the cross as a substitute for our sin, His bodily resurrection from the dead, and His exaltation to the right hand of God. (Matt 1:23; Heb 7:26; 1 Peter 2:22; Acts 1:9; Acts 2:22; Acts 10:38; 1 Cor 15:3; 2 Cor 5:21; Luke 24:39; Acts 1:9; Phil 2:9-11; Heb 1:3)

We believe that our only hope of salvation is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God. Forgiveness is received through repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ. By the renewal of the Holy Spirit, we are justified by grace through faith, become heirs of God, and live according to the hope of eternal life. (Luke 24:47; John 3:3; Rom 8:16; Rom 10:13-15; Eph 2:8; Titus 2:12; Titus 3:5-7)

We believe that baptism in water is the believer's declaration to the world that they have died with Christ and that they also have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. All who repent and believe on Christ as Saviour and Lord are to be baptized. (Matt 28:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 10:47,48; Rom 6:4)

We believe that communion, consisting of the elements --bread and the fruit of the vine-- is the symbolic expression of our sharing the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ, a memorial of his suffering and death, and a prophecy of His second coming. (2 Peter 1:4; 1 Cor 11:26)

We believe that all believers are invited to earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the baptism in the Holy Spirit, according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. This was the normal experience of all in the early Christian Church. With it comes empowerment for life and service and the enabling of spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues. (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:4; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31)

We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can be living examples of his sanctification, separating from that which is evil and dedicating our whole selves unto God. This divine healing of body and spirit is an integral part of the gospel, demonstrated throughout Jesus' ministry, and provided for in His death on the cross. (Rom 12:1,2; 1 Thess 5:23; Heb 13:12; Gal 2:20; Phil 2:12,13; 1 Peter 1:5; Isaiah 53:4,5; Matt 8:16,17; James 5:14-16)

We believe in the power and significance of the Church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together for fellowship, prayer, and "the breaking of bread." We're a divinely called and scripturally ordained ministry for the purpose of spreading the Gospel throughout the world, worshipping God, building a body of saints being shaped in the image of Jesus, and meeting human need with ministries of love and compassion. (Mark 16:15-20; John 4:23,24; Eph 4:11-16; Psalms 112:9; Gal 2:10; 6:10; James 1:27)

We believe there will be a final judgment in which we will be judged according to our response to Christ. Whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, will be consigned to the everlasting punishment in the second death. (Matt 25:46; Mark 9:43-48; Rev 19:20; Rev 20:11-15; Rev 21:8)

We believe in the resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ along with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord is the blessed hope of the church. Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised. (Zech 14:5; Matt 24:27; Matt 24:30; Rev 1:7; Rev 19:11-14; Rev 20:1-6)

"We, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness." (2 Peter 3:13; Rev 21; Rev 22)
